What are topics?

Topics categorise the keywords and phrases related to each of your areas of interest. This allows you to see political developments related to each topic separately, and receive different types of email alert for each one.

Choosing your keywords

If you want to monitor all political developments related to mental health in young people, you would add keywords associated with mental health into the 'Any of these keywords' section, and keywords related to young people in the 'And also any of these keywords' section.

We will then identify the political developments containing any of the top keywords, and any of the bottom keywords.

Tips and tricks

  • It is not necessary to include separate keywords for singular vs plural

  • If your keyword is an acronym, use capital letters

  • To avoid information overload, use a large number of specific keywords and terms, rather than a small number of broad terms

  • If your keywords are bringing back irrelevant results, e.g. you're interested in 'space' and you receive an update about 'an event space', just contact our support team, and we'll have a word with our algorithm
