What is PolicyMogul?

PolicyMogul is a political monitoring, research and engagement platform. We supplement the material you already receive from the Libraries by amalgamating developments from the entire UK political landscape in real-time. This includes updates from all official sources, as well as political commentators on Twitter, and briefing material and policy asks from organisations.

Can the service be tailored for me personally?

We have started you off with ‘topics’ based on your position or membership of committees and APPGs. However, you may prefer to monitor issues of specific interest to you which can easily be set up.

Is PolicyMogul free?

Yes, PolicyMogul is completely free for all UK parliamentarians and their teams.

Do I need a parliament.uk email address?

You will need a parliament.uk or gov.uk email address to sign up as a parliamentarian or parliamentary staff. If you do not use one of these email addresses, please contact us at support@policymogul.com.

How long does it take to sign up?

If you are signing up as a parliamentarian, just enter your email address, confirm your email, and you'll automatically be signed in. If you're signing up as parliamentary staff, you'll need to answer a few questions about the parliamentarian you work for. In either case, it should take under 60 seconds to register for PolicyMogul.

Will I be bombarded with updates and briefing material?

No. By default, you'll receive a daily digest at 9am each day summarising all relevant content based on your interests. Organisations cannot use PolicyMogul to contact you directly. However, they can upload briefing material and policy asks, and if that content is relevant to you, you'll receive it in your PolicyMogul inbox and on your daily digest email. Email alerts can be deleted or paused at any time on your email alerts page.

I'm a parliamentarian. Can I invite my staff?

Yes. Either a parliamentarian or a staff member can sign up here. If you are an MP or peer, you can invite your staff by going to Settings > Team once you have registered.

I'm a parliamentary assistant. Can I invite my parliamentarian?

Yes. Either a parliamentarian or a staff member can sign up here. If you work for an MP or peer, you can invite them (as well as your other colleagues) by going to Settings > Team once you have registered.

What are 'topics'?

Topics comprise keywords and phrases which represent areas of interest. You can edit your team's topics at any time, and choose to receive (or stop receiving) email alerts for any topic.
